CITY-WIDE CAROLING - Under the sponsorship of the United Christian Youth Council, there will be a city-wide Christmas caroling this year. The project is designed to bring Christmas to the homes of shut-ins, and participating churches have provided a list of persons unable to attend Christmas programs. At the installation banquet last week Sherri McKian, Kay Lahym, Barbara McKinnon, Sandra Clune, and Meredith Raftshol received four-year awards, medals awarded for the first time in the six-year history of the banquet.

WILL PURCHASE FLAGPOLE - Members of the Central High School Pep Club have accepted the responsibility of purchasing a new flagpole for the new high school grounds as a 1959 project. The pole will be of monument type with a marble base and bronze plaque. Total cost is $1,500.
